Voluntary Action East Lindsey offer services and
support to local voluntary and community organisations across
the district. Working with many partners to ensure that you
are represented in the decisions that affect you around the
area of East Lindsey and Lincolnshire County.
We will keep you up to date on what’s going on in the
district, the events, training and up to date funding issues. Voluntary

Volunteers Week Celebrations:
June 2009 marked the 25th anniversary of Volunteers Week as a national celebration of volunteers and volunteering, and Voluntary Action East Lindsey were pleased and privileged to mark the occasion by once again hosting our own local events; this year held at Horncastle College and the Grange & Links Hotel, Sutton on Sea.
Nice weather, welcoming venues in pleasant surroundings, with good food and great company, all combined to make the days very happy and positive experiences for all concerned; and, after the certificates were presented (by trustees Peter Milson and Paul Jackson respectively), our own ‘Volunteer man’, Michael Collins ensured everyone had a lot of fun with his upbeat, informal - but well-researched and excellently-presented - local knowledge quiz.
The main focus of each day, however, was of course the opportunity for VAEL and other charities, community groups and voluntary services of East Lindsey to show their respectful appreciation and extend sincere thanks to the people who contribute so much of their time, effort and dedication to good causes, our communities and the public at large. We’d like to thank you all for coming, and hope you had a great time. |
